Hey,

I just got back from another session at Mt. Hood (aka Huck Shake Heaven). I hope everybody is having a great summer and that all your camps were as good as mine. This time I was at a Western Region NDS project. I love the NDS camps. It is so fun to meet the other kids from around the region away from the racecourse. Camps like this are a great time also to do a little fine-tuning on GS and SL. Also the dryland part of the camp was super fun. I was stoked to see how my progress has been in my training. I know that it is just three short months before it is time to get in the start gate for real. I am looking forward to the upcoming season with some pretty specific goals in mind. I hope all the hours of hard work in the gym and on the bike will pay off. I am sure they will. I know I am stronger and more fit than ever before and that it will be a great confidence booster for me.

I am leaving for Europe in September to start my fall prep. I am excited to get to Sweden. For now I am home at the lake and glad to be back in the water. If you ever get a chance to get to Lake Tahoe stop by High Sierra Water Ski School at Sunnyside.
Chances are if I'm not out getting a pull, I'll be hanging out on the dock waiting for my next run.

Hope everybody has a great end of summer and are putting in the time in the gym to make you faster than ever.

See you again soon.

Hey Summerfreaks,

Like most of you I just got home from an awesome camp in Mt. Hood. I was there for 10 days and it was so much fun. I was really lucky because I got to train with a couple of national team athletes. We had a really small camp just myself, Erika Horst, and Errol Kerr. Also one of the days USST Athlete Sterling Grant came to train GS with us. It was so cool. We also took a trip to Hood River and I got to meet Abby and her family. It was great to meet another Speedfreak. I hope all of you get a chance to get to Hood for a summer camp. It is a great place to train and to see friends. Also it is the only place in the world to get a huck shake. I highly recommend having several during your visit!

I am back in Tahoe now and this weekend I am competing in a horse show. I love to jump my horse Wedgewood. It is so much fun flying through the air on his back. I am home now for the next 10 days and will be back in the gym and getting up early to get the morning glass for waterskiing. I leave at the end of the month to go back to Hood for a Western Region Development Camp. I can taste the huck shakes already!

Hey guys,
I'm in beautiful Hood River, OR right now and its very hot. About 5 days ago I was at Mt. Hood with Team Summit, for summer ski camp. I had loads of fun, and we totally lucked out on the weather. I swear it was only overcast one day out of two weeks. For Oregon, where it rains almost every other day, I was amazed. Every ski racer knows that traveling isn't very much fun without your friends. So a road trip to Oregon with your whole ski team is one of the most fun things you can do. The only downer is when everyone falls asleep and you're the only one awake and your iPod ran out of battery 4 hours ago. Then you wish you hadn't just chugged that red bull. On our second day of travel we were almost to Hood River and it's a tradition that we go cliff jumping. So about 2 miles from Hood River we pulled over and climbed the cliffs. Almost everyone on our team jumped, keyword: almost. Fellow speedfreak Conor McDonald didn't jump, his explanation, "the water was too cold". But once we finally arrived in Oregon I was really happy to be out of that stinky van. On the other hand I wasn't so thrilled that I would be waking up at 5:30 a.m. the next morning.
TO BE CONTINUED?
